Hi I’m Evangeline! Welcome to my blog. I am mom and lover of all things health and wellness. By profession- a Registered Massage Therapist and Yoga & Ayurveda consultant. I started this blog back in the early days of Covid19 as a way to stay in touch with my clients, and it’s grown into a space to share what I love most. Here you’ll find health tips and nourishing recipes I make for my family, sprinkled with Ayurveda and Yoga wisdom. My hope is that these posts inspire you to care for yourself in small, joyful ways and feel a little more balanced in everyday life.

Chapati is a South Asian flatbread with no yeast, just flour and water. It is easy to make and takes just minutes. We use chapati for making pizzas and wraps or served with kichari, or with a hearty soup. On its own too, spread with ghee or drizzled with honey makes for a satisfying snack!

Use chapatis to make pizzas and wraps.

Yields: 4-6 small chapatis
Prep Time: 5 minutes
Cooking Time: 15 minutes

ingredients

¾ cup all-purpose einkorn flour, or all-purpose flour
¼ tsp salt (optional)
⅛ cup warm water plus a bit more (if using chapati dough for pizza, I use room temperature water)
1 tsp olive oil
Ghee or olive oil for cooking

INSTRUCTIONS

  1. Combine flour and salt in a bowl.

  2. Add water and olive oil and knead to make a soft dough.

  3. Divide dough into pieces, but keep dough covered with a damp towel as each chapati is rolled out. Flour the surface when rolling out the dough.

  4. Cook each chapati on a small hot pan on medium-high with a bit of ghee or olive oil.

Enjoy!
